FSSA is issuing Riverview Adult Day Health Center funding to support our direct service workforce.
The grant will be distributed to Riverview ADHC in three payments, with the first payment targeted for late January and subsequent payment rounds expected to be in March 2023 and finally in June 2023. Our goal is to use the funding as soon as possible after receipt to provide immediate support to our workforce. We intend to spend all funding no later than August 31, 2023 depending on the timing of receipt from FSSA.
We plan to use the funding in the following ways to invest in our DSWs:
- Hourly Wage Increase: As a part of our long term strategy, we will be increasing hourly wages following our current personnel review schedule. We will dedicate 7.4% of the grant amount towards this activity. The hourly wage increase will be issued based on February through August 2023 payroll schedule.
- Transportation Vouchers: In order to relieve some of the pressure of increased cost of travel, we will issue transportation vouchers to help pay for gas, travel, and other car related expenses. We will dedicate 16% of the grant amount towards this activity. To issue the vouchers, we plan to distribute fuel cards monthly to our DSW employees.
- Mobile Phone Reimbursement: In order to relieve some of the pressure of increased costs of living, we will issue reimbursement checks to help pay for mobile phone related expenses. We will dedicate 15.8% of the grant amount towards this activity. To issue the vouchers, we plan to distribute reimbursement checks bi-monthly to our DSW employees.
- Retention Activities, Bonuses & Payroll Taxes: To provide immediate support to our workforce, we plan to celebrate our DSWs through retention activities, issue bonuses to DSWs and apply a portion of this grant to payroll taxes. We will dedicate 60.8% of the distributable grant amount towards these activities.
In all, at least 95% of grant funds we receive will be directly distributed to our DSW’s. Each quarterly allocation received will be spent prior to the end of the quarter in which it is received. Please reach out to Nicole Hardy-Pagels, CEO, with any question regarding how the funds will be spent.
